Tackling climate change is a daunting challenge. What can one person do about such a big issue? We think you’ll be surprised.

Sign up to volunteer in your community here.

We started One Change and Project Porchlight because we believe that every small change adds up. The first thing we can all do to help build a more sustainable environment is to start making more conscious choices about how we use energy. The Project Porchlight campaign shows that even changing one light bulb can make a huge difference if enough people do the same.

But there’s so much more we can do than just changing our light bulbs. Volunteering, talking to friends, making other energy-efficient choices—it all makes a difference. The pages in this section describe in more detail some of the many things you can do to help us build an energy-conscious, environmentally-sustainable Canada.
