Project Porchlight is a national social marketing campaign to encourage the adoption of environmentally friendly behaviours, administered by One Change, a not-for-profit organization based in Ottawa, Ontario. One Change is seeking a Development Research Coordinator. The Coordinator supports One Change's development by providing research assistance and writing support for its lead generation, program development, program evaluation and proposal development processes.
Duties and Tasks
• Supports the Director in the identification of new leads through research and writing
• Researches current issues in energy efficiency, CDM (conservation demand management) programming and identifies opportunities and partners for new One Change programs
• Provides research and content to support the proposal development process
• Writes proposal sections and manages document control, as required
• Supports the Director and Manager through research of new program ideas and opportunities
• Provides writing support for program tactical planning and training materials, as required
• Provides research and support for the Manager in the program evaluation process
• Studies other CDM programming evaluation techniques and provides advice to the Manager
• Liaise with and support communications with sponsors and potential funders, as required
Qualifications
Education: Undergraduate degree in social sciences, business administration, or equivalent knowledge/experience
Experience:
• Two to three years of professional analytical experience that demonstrates extensive 2-3 years of research experience
• Nonprofit experience an asset
• Experience and knowledge of evaluation an asset
Skills:
• Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; high-level of proficiency with Excel a must)
• Ability to prioritize a number of tasks and adapt to change in a flexible manner
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• A strong interest in the environment and demonstrated commitment to One Change's goals and values
