Project Porchlight is an energy efficiency campaign run by One Change, a non-profit organization that advocates community engagement and environmental sustainability. Project Porchlight is bringing 37,000 energy efficient lightbulbs to the Burlington area to be delivered door-to-door by local staff and volunteers.
Reporting to the Campaign Coordinator, the Volunteer and Data Coordinator is responsible for volunteer management, data collection and management and oversees inventory and the distribution of campaign materials.
The Volunteer and Data Coordinator will be resourceful in acquiring volunteer participation in his/her community and will supervise volunteers and assist in the oversight of events. They will also help coordinate campaign logistics. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Responsibilities
- Help deliver community education and engagement program
- Coordinate communication with volunteers
- Coordinate bulb pickups, training and volunteer activity
- Coordinate volunteers and supplies for community events
- Assist with the implementation of activities and publicity events
- Support volunteer recruitment, training, activities and recognition
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers by creating and maintaining relationships with community groups
- Provide weekly reports to the Campaign Coordinator on volunteer, delivery and inventory data
- Publishing campaign stories and photographs on Project Porchlight website
- Other responsibilities as required
Core Competencies and Qualifications
- Experience in working with volunteers
- Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
- High level of professionalism
- Capacity to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient with MS Office
- Experience with data entry and data management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid and active Driver's License required
- Ability to both give and accept direction and input
- Ability to travel to different rendezvous points throughout Burlington for training sessions and delivery events
- Ability to capture stories from everyday experiences with volunteers
- Must be able to work in a culturally competent manner
- Must be able to work in diplomatic and respectful way with broader community
- Demonstrated passion for environmental causes and conservation would be considered an asset
