The glow of Project Porchlight is spreading through North Eastern BC. With the bulk of our CFL bulbs due to arrive in the province next month, the Project Porchlight team is busy hiring local support staff and making contacts with the community.
The doors of our new Dawson Creek office should open later this month, and then you'll be able to find our Project Porchlight presence radiating from City Hall.
Contact has also been made with groups in Tumbler Ridge, Dawson Creek and Fort St. John - and thanks to attending local events along with members of the BC Hydro Power Smart team our volunteer list is starting to grow. It seems BC residents are really keen to get out in their neighborhoods to give away free CFL bulbs and share simple information about taking action to conserve energy.
