Looking at Stuff - Part 1: The Story of Stuff
Posted by Rolf | July 29, 2008

Here at One Change, our concerns go way beyond the Bulb. We're constantly looking at simple solutions to empower individuals and communities to take the first step towards energy conservation, and ultimately making positive lifestyle changes that will collectively benefit the entire planet.

This week, we'll be taking a look at stuff. I know that sounds just a wee bit general, but our production, accumulation and disposal of stuff is an ever-present issue lurking behind all the material goods that surround us.

In the first part of this blog-series, we'll look at a fantastic interactive website that we stumbled upon a little while ago: The Story of Stuff.

The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world. It'll teach you something, it'll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever.
